Monira Akter is a shop assistant. She works in shifts in a departmental store in Khulna. She does not go to work at the same time everyday. One some days she works in the first shift from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. On other days, she works in the second shift from 3.00 pm to 9:00 pm. Monira always uses the bus to go to work in the moing. The bus stop just in front of the shop. In the afteoon, she generally goes there by rickshaw or baby-taxi. She doesn’t like to wait at the bus stop in the mid-day heat of the sun. The bus is over-crowded at that time. She always comes back home by bus. She works standing all the time and she serves the customers. She often gets tired by the time she finishes work. But she doesn’t mind. She meets new people everyday. She finds her job interesting.
